VISITING US
Visiting Cougar Annie's Garden or the Temperate Rainforest Field Study Centre with your group is an adventure and a privilege. Only a limited number of people can be accommodated.

The mandate set by the Foundation's Board of Directors insists that in arranging visits, we focus on education, preservation, and heritage. We welcome motivated, independent people with a keen interest in the area. For your own safety, all visitors should be reasonably physically fit.

When you are here you will find space and silence and isolation and extraordinary beauty. You will be in the middle of a temperate rainforest -- one of the densest ecosystems anywhere in the world. This ecosystem is fragile and threatened. The Boat Basin Foundation's aim is to assist you to learn more about it, and to respect it.

We can arrange group day trips to Cougar Annie's Garden on request. Click here

"The Boat Basin Foundation is in a unique position on the West Coast. As steward of one of the few privately held pieces of property in Clayoquot Sound, one containing the now reclaimed garden of Cougar Annie, the Foundation has a great responsibility towards this land, its diversity and its history. Such responsibility requires dedication and imagination; it is a challenge and a privilege to all who are involved."

-Margaret Horsfield, from the Foreword of Cougar Annie's Garden (third printing)
